10 Weeks

Hello~

We are now in week 10, so I need to catch you up on the previous weeks. September 2nd was the first blood test that came back with numbers that were out of the ballpark! The nurse told me that any number over 50 was considered a positive result. My number came in at 315! That was our first clue that it was possibly twins. The first ultrasound was taken on September 29th (see picture!) and The Twins were confirmed!

So far I can't complain about how I've been feeling. I've had a couple of bad days; sick, tired, nauseous, etc... But the good days WAY outnumber the bad!

We had our first appointment with my regular gynecologist on October 13th. It was both good and bad. We found out that she will only be my doctor up to 20 weeks and then I have to see someone else. That was a little disappointing as I really like my doctor. On the other hand, she wanted some more information than the last ultrasound had on it, so she ordered another ultrasound for me. So, Kory and I went in on October 16th for the new ultrasound. WOW!!! What an experience! It was amazing how much they had grown in just a few weeks. What was the most exciting though was to watch them move!! One of them, Twin A (in the pictures below), was content to lay back and just kick his/her arms and legs around a little. At one point it looked like he/she waved at us. But the other, Twin B (the one on top), was moving so much it was amazing that the technician was able to get any pictures at all! It looked like he/she was doing jumping jacks in there! I just wanted to sit there and watch them for the rest of the day.

In case you can't read it, Twin B is the one on top, while Twin A is the one on the bottom.

This is my favorite picture of the two of them. It shows both really well.
