25 Weeks
We had another check-up appointment yesterday, and they did the glucose screening. I had to drink this fruit punch flavored liquid and then wait an hour. It wouldn't have been so bad, but I can't stand fruit punch! I wish it would have been grape or orange or anything other than fruit punch! Oh well. Anyway, after an hour, I had to give a urine and blood sample. They told me that they would contact me if anything was amiss. So far I have not heard anything, so I am assuming that No News is Good News and everything is fine. We have our next appointment on Feb. 18th and another ultrasound that day as well. Before that, we have our first and second classes, so I'll let you know how they go.

24 Weeks
Ok, so for all of you (Uncle Hal!!) who wanted pictures of me to laugh at, here you go!! Kory took these just this morning.

From the Side-

The house project is coming along slowly. We now have all of the materials needed to lay the tile in the basement, so it's just a matter of finding the time. All of the old carpet, carpet padding, and tack strip have all been removed. The next step is removing the glue that held the carpet pad down. Once that's gone, then the floor will need to be scrubbed so that it can be prepped for the self-leveling mud.

The Front View
Doesn't really show a lot
From the Side-With the shirt down, again doesn't show much
Oh yeah, the dog wanted to be a part of it too!!

Here's the good one! Can you believe that's only 24 weeks?!
Ok, for those of you who need months, it's approximately 5 1/2!

23 Weeks
We had another ultrasound and doctor's appointment this morning. The twins are still perfectly on track for development and growth. They now each weigh 1 lb 5 oz and are as active as ever. Twin B, again, did not want to cooperate with the technician. I think that one is going to be a handful! We met with a different doctor, Dr. Palmer, today. Dr. White was unavailable, unfortunately. He did a belly measurement (my first!) and I am at 28 inches. He also listened to the hearbeats and both are strong and normal. Our next appointment is now only 2 weeks away instead of 4. They told me from the beginning that I would have to start coming in more often sooner than most, so I guess it begins!
We have signed up for a number of parenting classes already. Our first one is a birthing class the first weekend in February. It will be Friday night and all day on Saturday. We get to tour the birthing center and learn about different options available to us. We are also signed up to attend a breastfeeding class in February and a newborn care class in March. They also offer an Expecting Multiples class that we are going to take advantage of, but that is on an individual basis and we are going to try to arrange it so that we can take that class on a day that we also have an appointment. The less time we have to take off work now, the better!
The last couple of weeks, I have really started to be able to feel the babies move! I will get the occasional elbow or foot jab and I can sometimes feel them rolling around. Once, I even saw my stomach move! Talk about cool! Kory even got to feel them one night. They were moving around as we went to bed, so I put his hand on my stomach so he could feel. He was very impressed! He is so excited and keeps asking if the babies can come out to play for a little while and then be put back in!
It has been requested that I get some pictures of me, or should I say "The Belly", up on the blog. Stay tuned and I promise to get them up soon Uncle Hal!!!

The ultrasound tech was able to do a split screen shot of both of the babies faces for us! Twin B (on the left) has a longer, narrower face. Twin A's (right) face is a little shorter with chubbier cheeks! Twin A looks like it's smiling for the camera!!
