16 weeks

It's hard to believe that we are at 16 weeks already. We're almost half-way to baby time!! Things are going really well. No more morning sickness at all. I am still really tired all the time, but unless I overdo it, I feel great! Mom came over again last Saturday and we did some more organizing. The house is really coming along, and we may actually be ready for the twins when they come!
Here are the latest ultrasound pictures that were taken on the 13th of November. You can really see how much they have grown.

This is probably one of the last pictures that will show all of both of them in the same picture! They are a little over 4 inches long each.

This one (Twin B) is our mover and shaker! He/She refused to sit still for these pictures. The ultrasound tech had to measure him/her 4 times before getting an accurate measurement.

This is my favorite picture of Twin A. It is a great shot of the profile!

15 Weeks

We are now in the 15th week and officially into the second trimester. I am feeling really good now. No more morning sickness; not as tired anymore.

We met with my doctor for the final time last Wednesday. Everything went good. We even got to hear the heartbeats for the first time! That was exciting. She also looked up the results from the last ultrasound, and found that they determined it was too early to tell. They were looking to see if the twins shared a placenta or if there were 2. So, she ordered another ultrasound for us at the first available time. Well, that turned out to be Thursday afternoon. It was too short of notice for Kory to get off work, so, at Kory's suggestion, I asked my mom to go with. She had a great time! Man have those kids grown!! (Pictures coming soon!!) They are now between 8 and 9 cm long each, where a month ago they were between 3 and 4 cm. Twin A was still content to just kick and wave a little, but Twin B was stretched out as far as he/she could and would not sit still. The ultrasound technician had to measure him 3 or 4 times to get an accurate reading! Our next appointment is December 9th. We have an anatomy ultrasound scheduled where they will check and measure all of the babies limbs and organs. Then we have our first meeting with the OB. We'll see how it goes.

14 Weeks - 11-11-08

I have officially hit 14 weeks and am almost out of the first trimester. The last couple of weeks have been really different. Week 11 was the worst for my morning sickness. I felt sick all of the time. Week 12 hit and that was the best week that I have had so far. I didn't feel sick or tired at all. It was great! Week 13 went by with only a little morning sickness, but really bad headaches all of the time. I am hoping that the headaches will go away. I have an appointment tomorrow and I am going to ask her opinion on them.

I didn't have to work last Friday, so mom came over to help me work on getting the house organized and get some things moved around to make room for the impending arrival. I want to get as much done now as possible in case I am ordered to bed rest later. She came back on Sunday too. We got a lot done in the house, even though you really can't tell. It's still a huge mess, but at least now it's a more manageable mess!
