33 Weeks

Well, it happened. I have become behind with my news. I knew it would happen eventually! I'll try to get everyone caught up with this post.

We had our 32 week ultrasound last Wednesday, the 18th. The first thing that we saw was that Baby A had flipped again and is now back to being breach. That was a little dissappointing, but everything else looked really good. They are still growing as they should. Baby A weighed 4 lbs 3 oz and Baby B weighed 4 lbs 6 oz. We are beyond the preemie size! They should be really good size by the time they are born! We also got to see Baby A practice breathing. Talk about cool!

We also had the first of many Non-Stress Tests (NST) the same day. They placed 2 little paddle like things on my belly to measure the babies heart rates. They want to see at least a 15 beat/minute fluctuation in heart rate. Within a given amount of time, they like to see a certain number of these fluctuations. Both passed very easily, with a little help from some apple juice! They also put on another paddle that measures contractions. I only had a few small ones. We saw Dr. Palmer again, and he has us now coming in every week for another NST.

Today, at 33 weeks, we had our second NST, and again, with a little help from some apple juice, both A & B passed easily. I am having quite a few contractions and they are getting stronger, but they are inconsistant at this point in time. I will have a few all at once, but then none for another few hours. We saw Dr. McKeon this time, and she said that everything looks to be progressing normally. Our next appointment will be next Tuesday for another NST. Dr. McKeon also ordered us another ultrasound at 36 weeks.
I and the kids are doing great! I have started to experience the joy of swollen feet and hands! My feet barely fit into my shoes anymore, and the rings....they haven't fit for a while! Otherwise, I have no complaints at all!

On another note, the babies room is done!!!!! Kory got the room painted 2 weekends ago and got the final cleanup done this past weekend. The dresser, bookcase, and rocking chair are in the room. I think that we are going to get the crib from my mom that my brother and I used. The car seats have been purchased, but are not yet out of the box. I have Spring Break next week, so I hope to get a lot of things done and finalized!

Twin A Face - Look at those cheeks!!!!

Twin A Profile - Just like his/her mother and father, this child is destined to have a tiny nose!!

Twin B Face - Not quite so big with the cheeks.

Twin B Profile - Still no nose. Our kids are doomed!
