Wow! I can't believe how far behind I am at this. It seems that no matter what my good intentions are, it doesn't ever work out that way.
To finish up the Christmas season, we spent Christmas Eve with our friends Dallas and Ellen and their family. The kids loved playing with Trevor and chasing the cat.

Christmas Day found us back at my folks for the Jasik Christmas, with a special video chat with my Uncle Hal, Aunt Sharleen and Cousin Kevin. Saturday, we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Rew's and Sunday, we went to Great Grandma Dot's for the Weis side.

Having fun with Cousin Sadie
All in all the kids did really well. I think it helped that they only had to deal with one set of new people each day. It did however make a very long weekend for mom and dad! They never did get the hang of opening presents. Eating the paper was much more fun!

New Year's Weekend found us in Center City visiting our friends Jeff and Maria and their son Franklin. We drove up New Year's Eve and came back on Sunday. Kory and Jeff spent all of New Year's Day out on the snowmobiles while Maria and I had some quiet time back in the house with the kids. Emaleigh and Derek had a good time playing with Franklin. At first Franklin didn't know what to think of the twins. He is used to being the youngest as he is an only child and all of his cousins are older than him. He especially did NOT want to share his toys. He eventually got used to having younger kids around and, by the end of teh weekend, he was bringing toys to them to play with.

Derek was fascinated with Jeff's piano skills. Franklin had to join in too.
Ok, so that brings us up to the present. As stated before, the kids are very mobile. They love to be on the go and will now only tolerate being contained for short periods of time. So now they will only stay in their exersaucers for a little while before they want out. That makes it difficult for mama to get much done! They also like to have a lot of our attention, which is a good thing. They like to play where we are and be underfoot. It is really heartwarming that they are such loving kids, but again, it makes it hard to get anything else done! Oh well, all that other stuff can wait.
We have finally found a food that Derek does not like! Of all things, he does not like peaches and will scream if we try to give them to him. Other foods he has wrinkled his nose at to begin with, but then he will still eat them. Not peaches. Emaleigh is not a picky eater either, as she will eat just about anything that we feed to her. She is just a little more delicate when she eats as opposed to Derek who we can't feed fast enough.
On Christmas Eve, the kids took their first bath in the big tub. Emaleigh loves the water and started splashing right away. Derek wasn't so sure he liked the water. The first thing he did when we dipped his toes in was pee in the tub. By the end of the bath, he had come around and was splashing right along with Emaleigh.
